报告摘要:
Parity violation (PV) generally exists in modified gravity theories. In this talk, I will focus on the PV effects on the gravitational waves (GWs). First I will show that there exist gravity theories with PV, in which both polarization modes of GWs propagate in the speed of light and thus can pass the current observational tests. Then I will discuss the scalar induced GWs in Chern-Simons gravity, in parity violating scalar-tensor theory, and in non-Riemannian gravity theories. Although our results show that the PV effects are negligible in the scalar induced GWs, which nevertheless provide a novel test of PV in modified gravity theories.
报告人简介:
高显,中山大学物理与天文学院教授,博士生导师。2010年博士毕业于中国科学院理论物理研究所,先后在法国巴黎第七大学、日本东京工业大学和东京大学从事博士后研究,2016年进入中山大学工作。主要研究方向为引力理论与宇宙学,包括修改引力理论及相关宇宙学模型,原初暴胀与原初扰动,早期宇宙中的引力波,等等。在国内外学术刊物发表学术论文50余篇,引用3000余次,出版教材1部。现任中国物理学会引力与相对论天体物理分会委员。
